Welcome! My name is Amy and this is my place to show the work I’ve been creating for a few decades now. In my work I try to expand the two dimensional idea of photography to include more of the tactile and three dimensional aspects of life. I incorporate those aspects into my original, one of a kind creations which I refer to as photographic constructions. I really enjoy deconstructing my images and putting them back together to make something new. Sometimes I use thread, homemade paper, tape, wire, fabric, metal leaf and yarn to achieve this. Sometimes images are manipulated in their initial printing and left as is. This vague, chaotic process is the very much the point- letting my hands and clothes and mind be messy is also the point. The surprises that unfold are pure joy for me. All of the photos are from my life on my little Colorado mountain or from my travels. So feel free to poke around the galleries and enjoy. There’s also going to be a marketplace to sell my work very soon! Stay tuned -amy
